Aaron Burkhart, co-owner of abAviation/Georgia Avionics, was born in Indonesia and was transported home from the hospital in a Cessna 206 just days after his birth. So, it isn’t surprising that one of his passions is general aviation. As a commercial pilot, as well as a maintenance professional, Aaron offers a unique industry expertise.

Since its inception in 2003, abAviation has been a leading provider of aircraft maintenance, repair, avionics, management services, and aircraft parts sales. Originally located in Gainesville, GA (KGVL), abAviation relocated to Winder, GA (KWDR) in August of 2017.   Not only does abAviation serve as an Authorized Service Facility for Cessna, Beechcraft, and Lycoming, we also serve as an FAA Certificated Repair Station. abAviation provides customers with unparalleled levels of service and satisfaction - delivering Service With Integrity.

For more than 40 years, Georgia Avionics, a wholly owned subsidiary of abAviation, has provided avionics installation, repair services, and is an FAA Certificated Repair Station.   Our installations are tested on the ground and in the air to ensure the aircraft is returned to service with no issues.  

All of our maintenance and avionics technicians are pilots and licensed A&P mechanics who are trained technicians with extensive expertise and most hold an IA distinction. We are committed to keeping your equipment operating just like new. Our full-service facility is equipped for all Avionics repairs, Avionics installations, upgrades and more. We regularly perform VFR and IFR Certifications. We also sell new and used avionics, and have a full stock of the most popular items, like the Garmin GTN750/GTN650, the Garmin GTS800, the Aspen EFD1000Pro, the S-Tec System 55X Autopilot and more.
