Georgia Avionics Inc. is an FAA Certificated Repair Station located on the Greater Barrow County Airport (KWDR) in Winder, GA. USA, which is located approximately thirty five miles northeast of Atlanta, GA. The Barrow County Airport offers a large 5500 foot 13/31 runway, a crosswind 3600 foot 5/23 runway, a Localizer ILS approach, an RCO on 121.725 Mhz, an AWOS on 118.575 Mhz, an NDB on 404 Khz, and a Unicom on 123.0 Mhz. Please come in for a cup of coffee and a visit the next time that you are in the Atlanta area. The Barrow County Airport is located near Interstate Highway 316 for easy access to Atlanta, Lake Lanier, Cheatau Elan, Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park, Six Flags Over Georgia, Stone Mountain Park, and numerous other famous landmarks by car.
Georgia Avionics was founded in 1973 at Kennesaw (Mc Collum Field), GA. as a locally owned and operated Georgia Corporation, and subsequently moved to the Gwinnett County Airport in 1981. Georgia Avionics offers sales and service on most major lines of avionics equipment, autopilots, and instruments, as well as complete VFR and IFR certifications. We service all aircraft from J3 Cubs to medium size twin engine aircraft.

From Atlanta:
Take I-85 north, get in right lanes at Gwinnett Place Mall; take I-316 east toward Athens. Follow I-316 for about 25 miles. When you pass the traffic light at GA Highway 11, turn left at the next exit which is Harrison Mill Road. Go for about 2 miles to the dead end. Turn left on GA Hwy53 and take the first right turn. (about 1000 feet) Go one block to dead end and turn right on GA29. Go about 1500 feet (follow the green Airport signs) and turn left on Picklesimon Road. Go about .3 miles and turn right on Ronald Wood Road into the Barrow County Airport. Take first right to get to Georgia Avionics and the Barrow County Airport Terminal Building.
From Marietta:
Take I-75 south toward Atlanta; take I-285 east to I-85; Take I-85 north, get in right lanes at Gwinnett Place Mall; take I-316 east toward Athens. Follow I-316 for about 25 miles. Take I-365/985 south to GA Highway 53/Winder exit. Turn left on GA-53 and go to GA Highway 29 in Winder. Turn left onto GA-29 at Mc Donalds and follow it about three miles. From South Carolina:
Take I-85 south to exit 129 (Georgia Highway 53/Winder exit). Turn left on GA-53 and go to GA Highway 29 in Winder. Turn left onto GA-29 at Mc Donalds and follow it about three miles.
